CONCERN is mounting for a missing Tewkesbury man who has been reported missing by his family.

Trevor Groom, 49, was reported missing by his family yesterday (Tuesday September 9) because they had not been in contact with him for the past six to eight weeks.

There are serious concerns for Mr Groom's welfare as his disappearance is out of character. He has also not withdrawn any money from his bank account since the end of June.

Mr Groom also has links to the Bredon Hill, Bredon and Ledbury areas and may be in possession of a red mountain bike.

Mr Groom is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build and with glasses. He normally wears jeans and a t-shirt. Officers currently only have an image of Mr Groom from the 1980s. His appearance is similar now except that he currently has short grey hair.

Anyone who sees him or has any information about his disappearance should call 101, or 999 if appropriate, straight away, quoting incident 166 of September 9.
