A HARPIST who played at the wedding of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall is to entertain a Worcester audience.
Jemima Phillips, the former Royal Harpist of the Prince of Wales, will be the big name at a "Last Night of the Proms" event at St George's Church, Barbourne, on Saturday September 27, at 7.30 pm.
The varied programme will include Handel's Harp Concerto in B flat major; Faure's Pavane and "Nimrod" by Elgar.
The audience, of course, will be invited to join in Elgar's Pomp & Circumstance March No 1 in D;
Wood 's Fantasia on British Sea Songs, including Rule, Britannia!, and Jerusalem, by Hubert Parry.
Tickets are available from Worcester Tourist Information Centre, The Guildhall, High Street, or on 01905 726311, 28045 and 26095.
They will also be available on the door.
