A "GOOD SAMARITAN" was attacked after he tried to intervene in an argument between two men and a woman.

The 37 year-old, of Worcester, heard two men and a woman arguing and stopped as he was concerned for the woman's safety.

He entered into a discussion with the group, on Bromyard Road, before the two men attacked him causing minor injuries to his face.

Sergeant Thomas Clayton said, “This was an attack on a good samaritan in a public place, and as such, we are very keen to hear from anyone who can help us with our enquiries.”

Police are appealing for witnesses following the assault, which happened during the night of Friday, September 5.

Both the suspects are white and have been described as around 25-years-old, with one of them being around 5 ft 8 in height, of a chubby build. with light coloured hair and wearing a light coloured shirt.

The other as of medium build, around 6ft in height with dark hair wearing a dark coloured top.
