Sir -

With Remembrance period just over a month away, I invite your readers to support a new event in the city, the Centenary Remembrance Banquet.

This event is aimed at raising funds for the very service personnel that we are commemorating, as well as the current troops who keep us safe today.

With no less than Falklands veteran and British hero, Simon Weston OBE as speaker, it promises to be a tremendous evening with a fantastic and engaging personality.

We all talk about wanting to show our gratitude to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe, well now is your chance to do it.

Come along and really make a difference to the lives of our current service personnel as well as honouring the memories of those gone before them.

The banquet will be held at Worcester Guildhall at 7pm on November 1st and at just £35 for a 3 course black tie dinner, entertainment and an truly brilliant speaker, this is one event in the Remembrance period not to be missed.

Tickets can be obtained by contacting 01905 319 782, enquiries@cathedraleventservices.co.uk or via the website www.cathedraleventservices.co.uk.
