A CARAVAN and a workshop were burned to the ground in a blaze near Hanbury early yesterday morning.

Firefighters were called to the scene in Hanbury Road near Woolmere Green at about 4.30pm on Wednesday and spent almost four hours putting out the flames.

The caravan and workshop were completely destroyed in the fire and an adjacent barn also suffered some heat and smoke damage.

Engineers from Western Power Distribution were also called to the scene and isolated the electrical supply.

No one was hurt but it is not yet known how the fire was caused.
