HALLOW will be alight with pumpkins on Hallowe'en as the village gathers for a spooktacular event on the green.
There will be apple bobbing, spooky sweets and a pumpkin carving competition on Friday, October 31, as the village comes together to celebrate the evening.
The free community event is being sponsored by Mike Baldwin, owner of Ladygo Stores in Hallow.
He said: "We will have a judge for the pumpkins to make sure it's fair and then there will be lucky sweet dips for the children, apple bobbing, pumpkin rolling competitions and food available.
"There are cash prizes and rosettes for the winners.
"Then we are going to light all the pumpkins up on the green. It should be good fun.
"The event is to bring the village together to celebrate Hallowe'en in a safe way. The whole idea was to enjoy the night instead of people knocking on the doors of people who may not want them to."
