TEXTILE students from Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College have designed garments for charity Dress a Girl Around the World.

Students who could sew were asked to make pillowcase dresses, which will be delivered to girls living in poverty in the developing world, such as Uganda, Rwanda, Haiti and India.

The charity believes every girl should own at least one pretty dress.

During lunchtime clubs students have been constructing dresses for different aged girls and have personalised each one.

Teacher Corrinne Wones said: "The students have done us proud with their hard work and dedication.

"It has resulted in them achieving a wonderful collection of high quality and unique dresses."

The charity is still looking for people to make dresses.
