Thieves attempt to steal pick-up truck in Upton
THIEVES attempted to steal a white Skoda pick-up truck parked on a driveway in Upton on Monday.
The criminals prised open the door of a green Ford Fiesta also parked on the driveway in Queensmead between 1.50am and 2.05am on October 27 and pushed it onto a footpath on the opposite side of the road before pushing the pick-up truck onto the road.
A witness reported seeing two people reverse a large, dark coloured Audi onto the back of the truck before shunting it down the road in an attempt to start it.
However, as the truck is not currently roadworthy they were not successful, and left in the Audi, leaving both the Skoda and the Ford behind.
