TIARAS are getting a last polish and suits a final press as Worcester prepares to welcome the Miss and Mr Worcestershire contestants.

The competition at Worcester Guildhall this Sunday features 25 woman and nine men all vying to be the representative and ambassador of the city.

Attending the competition, which has been going in Worcester for over 10 years, is Miss England 2014/15, Carina Tyrrell, who is heading the judging panel.

The winning man and woman will be expected to work within the community during their reign, as well as represent the Worcestershire in the Miss and Mr England Finals in June of 2015. The competition has had the support of over 35 companies across the city.

Miss England Regional Director, Rachael Barker says “It truly is incredible to see the positivity we have found across the city. Worcester really is so supportive of finding the right guy and girl to represent them and I look forward to seeing the support during their year”.

With 25 girls now in the competition, each raising money for the charity Beauty with a Purpose, which aims to help disadvantaged Children across the local area and beyond, the charity fundraising has hit an all time high.

Doors open at 6pm to tickets guests for a drink on arrival and buffet, with the show starting at 7pm.

Tickets are still available on a first come first serve basis for the glamorous charity evening at £25 per ticket or 4 for £90 by going to www.missenglandwm.com/tickets
