IMAGINE this.

It's late at night. It's dark. You and a few friends are in a field somewhere in Worcestershire.

You have a tiny torch but you know that, although you can't really see where you're going, it's probably better to keep it switched off incase one of the things waiting in the darkness spies you.

But then you stumble in the field and cry out, and before you know it you are running as fast as you possibly can from the people - are they people? - that are catching up quickly.

You don't have to imagine this - you can actually take part in the real life chase game if you're brave enough.

Taking part in Evil Rising: Possessed last night made me realise mainly that I'm definitely not as fast as I thought I was.

I go to the gym several times a week and I thought I was relatively fit, but I obviously can't outrun the 'dead'. They caught me a few times, I screamed a lot, and although you are with your friends you very quickly realise it's literally every man for himself.

But you do have to work together to collect keys and eventually have a go at opening a box hopefully containing treasure if you make it to the end.

My team made it, but since Evil Rising first began in 2012, plenty haven't.

Scott Jenkins, of More is More, the brains behind the scare event, said the chase game is open to people who want something different to do this Halloween, who have a slightly warped sense of humour and just want a fun night.

A certain level of fitness is also required if you don't want to be caught.

Evil Rising: Possessed is running from now until the final night on Saturday.

A children's Trick or Treat event, for ages six and up, will take place on Friday, October 31.

More people are wanted to sign up to be chasers at the event. If you fancy spending a few nights scaring people in the dark, email scott@moreismore.co.uk.
