THE Deputy Prime Minister and Dragon's Den star were just two of the participants of a game developed by Heart of Worcestershire College students.

Nick Clegg and Theo Paphitis joined in the fun provided by the student's Shape Game, when it was exhibited during the Skills Show at Birmingham's NEC.

Developed by the college’s HND students, the Shape Game involved participants using their arms to hit coloured shapes that appeared on the screen with only movements from their hands, which were being picked up by the X-Box Kinect device.

James Duckhouse, IT and computing curriculum leader, said: "The Skills Show stand was a great experience for us.

"It was fantastic that both Nick and Theo came to visit. They were both suitably impressed by the games, and the knowledge our students displayed.

"It was wonderful to see Theo getting stuck in and playing the game with some of the children, and then seeing how the game was put together by the students.

"It was an experience they will remember for some time.”
