Also commemorated was 13 year-old Beth Whitsey, who for the last year has been part of the Droitwich Teen Champions group, helping at events in Droitwich and Worcester.

Mike Coombes, 19, and Joe Nurse, 18, filmed most Fortis events and activities through the year and produced short films, and won the Step Up Volunteers of the Year award for their work.

Val Cleaver won the Community Support Award, and John Roberts was awarded the Community Involvement Award.

Fortis Living Executive Director, Claire Huyton, said: “There are many unsung heroes living in our communities who give up their time to make a difference to others."
