A FOODBANK in Wyre Forest will have extra festive cheer this year thanks to generous donations from Wyre Forest District Council councillors and employees.
Christmas cake, spiced biscuits and mince pies have been included in the bumper hamper donated by the council members, alongside regular items such as dried foods, pasta and breakfast cereals.
Pastor Rob Palmer, of the Franche Community Church Foodbank, which will receive the donations, said: "Local people using the foodbank will be able to enjoy special food to mark the season of goodwill."
