POLICE are continuing to investigate an armed robbery where thieves made off which cash from Tesco's self service tills.

No arrests have been made yet as enquiries continue into the frightening incident at the Worcester Road, Evesham, superstore in the early hours of Tuesday, December 9.

Three armed men wearing balaclavas and wielding crowbars stormed into the open store at 12.40am, forcing open the self scan tills and making off with the money in a holdall.

The trio, all wearing dark clothing, made off in a silver or grey coloured vehicle which was driven in the direction of the Greenhill and Worcester Road junction.

There is still not enough evidence to link it with a similar robbery at another Tesco store in St Peter's, Worcester at 12.15am on Sunday, November 16.

The store was closed at the time but three men also armed with crowbars forced their way into the store and threatened a staff member before making off with money from the self service tills.

Anyone with information regarding the Evesham robbery should call the non-emergency police number 101 quoting incident 16S of Tuesday 9 December.

Information about the robbery at Tesco, St Peter's Drive, Worcester, can also be passed to police on the same number quoting reference number 14 of 16/11/2014.
