NEW home buyers in Worcester are among the most choosy in the country, new research has revealed.

A poll carried out by EstatesDirect.com of 2,000 homeowners across the UK reveals homes in Worcester take an average of 8.9 viewings before they sell.

This is a third more than the UK average, which is six viewings, is at complete odds with homes in Wrexham, which take just 4.1 viewings on average to sell, and puts Worcester homes third on the slowest to sell list.

Dominique Thompson, a local property specialist for Worcester, said: "The average viewings figures in Worcestershire reflects the market, where we are seeing couples and growing families looking to make the move to larger family homes.

"Buying a property is one of the biggest investment decisions people are likely to make, so it’s only right that people view and compare as many homes as they need to ensure they find a property they are happy to call home.

"On the flip side, it is important that sellers feel their home is being actively marketed and that viewing leads are followed-up by estate agents, as it can be incredibly stressful when a house sale feels as if it is dragging on."
