THE University of Worcester has been placed 113th in a table ranking UK universities in terms of their research.
The list has been provided by Research Fortnight and is based on the results of the 2014 research excellence framework.
Factors such as staff numbers and expected funding allocations have been used to give each university a "power" ranking.
The University of Worcester was ranked 145 in 2008.
Oxford University came first in the new table.
