A TEAM searching for missing Worcester man Lewis Paul Mullan has discovered a body.
The body was found in the water at Diglis Basin today at about 11.30am.
Lewis, aged 23, was last seen getting out of a taxi at Commandery petrol station in the Sidbury area of Worcester at 3am on Christmas morning.
Local policing commander Superintendent Kevin Purcell said: “Formal identification of the body sadly found this morning has not yet taken place but Lewis’s next of kin have been informed.
“My thoughts are very much with his family and friends at this time.
“I would like to thank West Midlands Search and Rescue Association, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and the officers of Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police for their work in this search.”
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
Formal identification of the body will take place in due course.
