A HIGH-SPEED pursuit that reached 130mph took place in North Worcestershire yesterday.
Specialist officers at the Central Motorway Police Group chased the offenders who were suspected of stealing items from other vehicles.
Two males were arrested and the stolen property was recovered, prompting the police to suggest they deserved “tea and medals” for their efforts.
Officers tweeted from @CMPG: “Assisted North Worcestershire by arresting two males following thefts from vehicles and a 130mph pursuit. Stolen property recovered. Tea and medals [time].”
The team also caught 16 motorists travelling between 95 and 105mph following speed checks along the M5 in the West Mercia Police force area, describing it on Twitter as a “busy day”.
