ART and design students from Heart of Worcestershire College are set to present a group exhibition.

Students from the foundation degree in the creative industries (fine art) and the BTEC foundation diploma in art and design will join fellow artists and designers to feature at the STRYX show next month.

Many of the works are inspired by themes of memory and trace, decay, gender representation, visions of Birmingham and political and social campaigns.

Paul Joyner, curriculum, resource and quality manager for arts, media and publishing, said: "This is an incredible opportunity for learners to demonstrate their work to a wider audience and gain valuable professional experience.

"Course lecturer Amy Lunn is a working practitioner and continues to provide learners with valuable skills and knowledge in preparation for the real world."

Faraway, So Close will run from Wednesday , February 11 to Thursday 12.

The artists will be present at an opening reception on Tuesday 10 from 6pm to 8.30pm.

The exhibition will be open from 10.30am to 4pm.
