RAIL replacement buses were put in place from Worcester Shrub Hill station last night (February 7) on the route to Oxford.
Safety checks were made near Moreton-in-Marsh, which led to buses being brought in to replace the trains from 7pm onwards.
This affected passengers hoping to travel to Evesham, Pershore, Honeybourne, Kingham and Shipton.
The schedule was back as planned by midnight and no problems have been reported on the route this morning (Sunday 8).
However, over-running engineering works between Worcester Shrub Hill and Hereford means trains cannot run between these stations.
Buses will run between these stations, extending journey times by up to 10 minutes.
It is thought disruption will continue until at least 10.30am.
