CAMPAIGNERS are calling for a meeting with the government about noise levels on the A419 in Gloucestershire.
The A419 Noise Action Group conducted a study using sound recording equipment at the Latton and Cerney Wick sections of the highway which showed noise levels have doubled since the road was built in 1998.
Ray Brassington, who took the readings using a sound level meter, said: “What I’ve found is that the noise level has doubled in that time."
The group is calling for a meeting with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) to present its findings.
