THE dream wedding of a dying transsexual woman is beginning to take shape but is still missing one important ingredient - the rings.

Brain tumour sufferer Parma Bertoli will marry her fiancée Stephanie Nickles at a once-in-a-lifetime ceremony in just over a week.

While the final few elements are coming together to ensure Miss Bertoli, who has just 12 months to live, is given a day she could only once dream of there has been a last minute hitch.

Event organiser Malvin Hobbs vowed to organise every detail of the Warndon couple's wedding but is having difficulties sourcing the all-important wedding rings.

After being blown away by the generosity of people and businesses after the original Worcester News story went viral - he now hopes people can help find the final detail.

He said: "The wedding is missing one very important piece of the ceremony - the rings.

"I'm just stuck and have no idea where I can get the rings from.

"Everything else is absolutely fine, people have been fantastic in offering their services but we are just waiting on the rings.

"The couple having nothing so we would be grateful for anything.

"It's a very vital part of service."

Miss Bertoli and Miss Nickles, who fell in love as men before having sex change operations, thought their lack of friends and funds would mean their big day never came.

They appealed in your Worcester News for help and, after Mr Hobbs stepped in, the majority of the big day had been organised within 24 hours of their story appearing online.

Anyone who is able to help provide the rings should contact cp@worcesternews.co.uk.
