STUDENTS at a Worcester college have their business heads firmly screwed on when it comes to raising money for charity.

Pupils at the Heart of Worcestershire College's Deansway campus took part in an Enterprise Sale as part of their studies which raised funds for the County Air Ambulance Trust, which is based in Walsall.

The students managed to raise £100 for the charity — which was handed over last Friday — by creating their own gifts which included Christmas presents and knitted goods.

Jason Dennis, area fundraiser for the County Air Ambulance Trust, said: "It was fantastic to be invited along to collect the money for the trust and see what the students had been up to. They had made items from scratch to sell, including Christmas cards and phone covers, and they really put in hours to raise that money for us, which we very much appreciate. They have done a fantastic job and their efforts are inspirational."
