ENTRIES are now open for the Worcester Heart Walk along the banks of the River Severn.

The event will raise money for the British Heart Foundation’s ‘mending broken hearts’ appeal.

Heart patient Tim Hawkesworth, of Bromsgrove, who is a prolific fundraiser for the charity which helped save his life, said: “Advance registration for the 2015 Worcester Heart Walk is now open and we are calling on local people to help make it a success.

“The charity had great support last time from people who knew others with a heart condition and everyone said it was a lovely atmosphere.

“I hope that people will show their heart is in the right place again and come and join us.”

The three-mile walk organised by the Worcestershire British Heart Foundation fundraising group will take place on Sunday, April 26, at Worcestershire County Cricket Club in New Road, Worcester.

Registration opens at 9.30am and the walk starts at 10.30am. Entry costs £5 in advance or £8 on the day and is free for children accompanied by an adult.

The route is along flat, gravelled paths which are suitable for all ages and abilities.
