A THEATRE company visited Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College to present two plays to get students thinking.

Award-winning Ten Ten Theatre performed 'Chased' in front of Year 9 students, examining issues around sex and relationships.

The second play, 'Babies, was seen by Year 10 students and explored abortion, teenage pregnancy, parenthood, family life, love and responsibility.

It allowed young people to understand delicate issues with their hearts and minds.

Annabel Barrett, a teacher at the college, said students listened carefully to the drama and it was obvious that they were very interested.

Pupils will have the opportunity to follow up and discuss in small groups the messages that they were presented with over this spring half-term in religious education lessons.

Ten Ten Theatre works in secondary schools throughout the UK.

It has produced a five-year programme for secondary schools for students, teachers and parents on relationship education.
