PUPILS at a Worcester school got a glimpse in to the life of a journalist at an after school talk.
Worcester News reporter Lydia Johnson gave a talk to Gifted and Talented students at Nunnery Wood High School before the half-term holidays.
Students listened as Lydia talked about how they could get in to journalism, what to study, and what everyday life is like for a journalist on a local newspaper.
"The students were very nice and interested, and I had a lot of questions at the end," she said.
"I hope I gave some encouragement to those who were considering journalism as a career.
"It is definitely something I enjoy and I hope that came across in my talk,” she said.
Teacher Ed Lowe, who arranged the talk, said: "The students really enjoyed it and have been coming up to me to tell me so.
"We have been organising for a number of people from different professions to talk to the students, and they have all been very interesting so far."
