Firefighters spend four hours tackling large fire at recycling centre
FOUR crews of firefighters spent four hours tackling a large fire in a skip in Long Marston, near Evesham, last night.
It is thought the blaze inside the skip, measuring 15metres by 15 metres and eight metres tall, involved an electrical cable.
Two crews from Evesham, one from Pebworth and another from Broadway as well as a fire officer were called to MRW Skip Hire at just before 7pm.
Firefighters were at the site until 11pm and a fire officer returned in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday) for a re-inspection.
