THE Worcester Palestine Friendship group welcomed a small group of women from the occupied West Bank, who were visiting Worcester as part of a 10-day tour of the UK.
The visitors met local people, gave formal presentations, took part in an afternoon of singing and enjoyed a tour of Worcester Cathedral.
Carl Freeman, of Worcester Palestine Friendship, said: "There are so many people to thank for enabling this visit to happen including Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association and particularly Nandita Dowson, The Erasmus Plus programme for their help with funding the visit and The Horizon Centre.
"We would also like to thank Sohail Farraz for arranging food, the team at St George’s catholic church including Lawrence Starkey, Robin and Sue Sykes for opening up their house for accommodation, and Colin and Lorna Archer for coordinating things from the Worcester end.
"Most of all, however, a huge thanks to our visitors from Palestine for inspiring us with their enthusiasm."
