IT was a battle of brainy councillors and Stourport came out victorious.
Members of Stourport Town Council won the annual Wyre Forest parish and town quiz event on Tuesday, March 17, beating off competition from six other teams to claim the winning shield and £50 prize.
The money received will go towards a community initiative of the town council’s choice.
Amy Smith, Wyre Forest District Council’s leisure development officer, said: “Once again the quiz has been a success and a really enjoyable evening for everyone that took part.
“Well done to the winners Stourport who won for the second year running.”
The Stourport team reached a total of 96 points in the quiz, which included rounds on history, sport and music read out by quizmaster Tony Powell.
Upper Arley Parish Council and Churchill and Blakedown Parish Council finished joint second.
