AN author visited Blessed Edward Oldcorne College to give a talk to students.
The school's patron of reading, Karen King, told the students how she became a writer, and read out her first ever published poem.
She also showed them a treasured book by Enid Blyton that she had won while at school and described how she wrote for many comics, including, Postman Pat and Rosie and Jim.
Emotion cards were given out, and students wrote sentences to describe the emotion, then others had to guess what was on the card.
