FORTIS Living celebrated the completion of renovation work to the high rise flats in St John's.

The £5 million pound project to refurbish and upgrade the flats came to an end in March and contractors, staff, partners and customers involved in the project all joined the celebrations- and caught their first glimpse of the rooftop Sky lounge in Cripplegate House.

Executive Director at Fortis Living, Stewart Mountfield, said: "This major investment wouldn’t have been possible without the vision of our customers, our board, the support of the wider community and the patience and cooperation of the residents during the very complex building works.

"I would like to thank everyone involved in delivering this ambitious project."

The investment has resulted in new windows and patio doors, innovative balcony screens enclosures, external cladding and rendering which has transformed the look of all three buildings, insulation work, which has reduced heating bills, new lifts, range of environmental works including a new car-park to enhance the sense of place for residents; two roof top gardens and the Sky Lounge.

There will be a further celebration event for the residents later this year.
