A PACKED Guildhall in Worcester's High Street, provided the perfect careers vehicle for local jobseekers as opportunities were presented during the 2-15 Jobs Fair.

The Worcester News was joined by leading housing provider Sanctuary Group to bring hundreds of exciting employment opportunities with almost 50 exhibitors offering placements, start-ups and training courses.

There was also plenty of information to hand for people considering a complete career change.

Publishing group Newsquest Midlands South, publisher of the Worcester News and its sister papers, had plenty to offer in the fast-moving world of local newspapers.

The group is one of the UK's largest regional newspaper publishers, with more than 200 newspapers, magazines and trade publications, including 17 paid-for dailies. It has a weekly readership of 13 million and a weekly circulation of 10 million.

Opportunities included management accountancy and media telesales based in the city, regional digital advertising account manager, editorial sports assistant and field sales account manager (motors) based in Hereford and a motors account manager based in Stourbridge.

Other exhibitors recruiting at the fair included: Resource Group, AALPS Midlands, Diamond Bus Company, Job Centre Direct, Open G I, LMPQ, Senad Group, Allied Healthcare, Nurse Plus, Cleeve Care, H1 Healthcare, Heart of Worcestershire College, British Army, Liaison, BUPA, Avon Cosmetics, Kanes Foods, Lean Engineering and Manufacturing Academy, Vandemoortele, Lifeways, Smiths News and Eclipse Homecare.

Doors opened at 10am with free admission and continued until 4pm.
