VANDALS damaged a crucifix and candles, smashed a window and broke glass on an organ at a church on Saturday.
Vandals destroyed items inside St Peter's Church, Cowleigh Bank, Malvern, between 9am and 6.45pm while it was open to allow people time for prayer and reflection.
The smashed though a 36 by 18inch single glazed window in the porch and pulled out some of the beading on the inside of a window in the main church.
Four pieces of glass on the church organ were also smashed and they also damaged a crucifix and some candlesticks which appeared to have been thrown to the floor.
The altar had also been interfered with but was not damaged.
A neighbour saw the lights were on in the church which the police said could mean the vandals broke in while it was dark.
Anyone with information should call the non-emergency police number on 101 quoting reference number OIS 0636S 280315.
