Easter at the Barracks: Mr De Vit, Organising Secretary of the C.E.T.S., gave an interesting lantern evening in the YMCA hut at Norton Barracks, the topics of two illustrated talks being “Try it” and “The Road to Heaven.” Between the two, Miss Kite sang a solo.

11th Battalion Leave Barbourne: Two companies of the 11th Battalion (one half the total strength) marched to their new quarters at Norton Barracks today.
 
Passion Music: The Bishop of Worcester conducted the three hours’ service at the Cathedral for Good Friday. In the evening the Passion Music from “The Messiah” was sung by the choir and members of the Festival Choral Society. Mr Mann Dyson was the tenor soloist, and the boys sang the soprano solo passages full. The address was given by the Precentor (the Reverend E H Tupper).

Accident: While a detachment of Yeomanry Reserve were passing along Bromwich Lane, an officer’s horse was brought down by a dog getting under its feet, and the rider fell heavily as well. The officer, who was badly shaken, was helped into Mr W B Leicester’s house, where restoratives were administered, and his hand, which had been cut, was bound up. He received further injury to an ankle, which had been severely hurt in a motor car accident some time ago. With difficulty he was able to mount and proceed to his billet. His horse had a bad cut on the shoulder.
