A MAN has appeared in court charged with threatening to kill his wife with a samurai sword.
Kevan Ledbury is alleged to have injured his estranged wife with a sword at their home in Leys Road, Harvington, near Evesham, on Tuesday, March 6.
Ledbury, aged 37, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court yesterday, speaking only to confirm his name, age and address.
Magistrates have declined jurisdiction for the case.
A bail application by his solicitor, Mark Sheward, was refused and magistrates remanded Ledbury in custody until his next appearance at Worcester Crown Court on Thursday, March 15, at 10am for a preliminary hearing.
