ORGANISATIONS working with children and young people can get cash to help them fund new projects.
Time is running out for small and emerging voluntary and community groups to get money from the Local Net-work Fund. They can still get funding of up to £7,000 to provide opportunities and experiences for vulnerable or disadvantaged youngsters.
Children and young people must have a say in the design, delivery and evaluation of the scheme. The cut-off date for applications will be October 2007, and all projects must finish by February 2008.
The Local Network Fund is provided by the Department for Education and Skills and administered by Worcester-shire Community First - a charity that provides advice and support for voluntary organisations and community groups in the two counties.
The fund has been available since 2002 and has awarded grants totalling more than £1 million to about 170 Worces-tershire groups.
The total budget available in the financial year beginning this April will be £309,561.
