Outwit pests in the vegetable garden
1. Make the most of fences and walls. Bush and tree fruits can be trained on walls, as can climbing vegetables such as beans, tomatoes and cucumbers.2. If you haven't space in a border, plant a collection of vegetables and herbs in pots on your patio.3. Avoid vegetables that take up a lot of space if your plot is limited, such as courgettes, which have huge leaves and flowers, and cauliflowers, which take up a lot of space for a relatively long time.
