PARISH councillors have approved the appointment of a new assistant clerk.
Members of St Peter's Parish Council agreed to offer the job to one of their candidates at a meeting on Monday evening (March 30).
Interviews were held earlier in the month.
It is hoped the new assistant clerk, who will“provide a timely, appropriate and effective response or resolution to all reasonable requests and problems presented” by members of the public, will be in post by May.
