A WORCESTER woman is hoping people will get behind her six-hour spinathon to help fundraise for a friend in need.
Carly Blair, who lives in St Peter's, has organised a spinathon to take place at Pershore Leisure Centre on Sunday, April 12 from 9am to 3pm.
Spinning — indoor cycling on an exercise bike — is a popular form of exercise and Mrs Blair says she has already had a lot of support from friends, family and gym members.
"I want to raise money for my best friend, who has a heart condition, and who is searching the country to find the right surgeon to perform the operation," she said.
"Already a lot of people have signed up to take part in the event, and I'm shocked at how good people have been. There are still spaces though, so I'd encourage anyone who fancies a go to sign up quickly."
