GOLFERS are being called on to tee up in aid of an appeal raising cash for a surgical robot treating prostate cancer patients.

The day will involve an 18-hole round of golf, a two-course meal, a putting competition and other prizes.

The appeal is aiming to raise £1.6 million for a surgical robot based at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch which will be able to treat men with prostate cancer with less pain, reduced complications and minimal blood loss.
