THE TALBOT pub in Barbourne, Worcester, has closed temporarily for a £200,000 facelift which will see a number of new jobs created.
The makeover will include a revamped bar area, a lighter colour scheme with some signature pieces of furniture and contemporary fixtures.
When it re-opens on Friday May 1, there will be a selection of local beers and cask ales such as Wells Bombardier, Marston’s Pedigree and Fuller’s London Pride. The food offering will also be updated, including a specials menu that will change on a regular basis and offer dishes such as chicken and white wine pie and tomato and mascarpone risotto.
General manager at the Talbot Dave Coulson said: “We’re incredibly excited to be undergoing such a huge transformation. The Talbot is a lynchpin of the Worcester community, so we’re pleased to be able to offer even better surroundings and a great new menu to both our loyal and new guests alike.”
Dave is also looking to recruit new team players for full and part-time positions across the bar and in the kitchen.
Anyone interested in a job at the refurbished Talbot should send their CV to 3897unit@spiritpubcompany.com or visit https://www.spiritpubcompanycareers.com/vacancy/277
He added: "I am on the look-out for dynamic, hard-working individuals on the bar and in the kitchen who want to be part of our family of team players at the Talbot.”
