YOUNG and old in Worcestershire are being invited to take part in a fundraising walk around the picturesque Wyre Forest in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

As part of National Walking Week the 15th annual Rock Pound the Bounds Walk4Life is being held on Sunday, May 3.

The walk starts from the village hall in Rock, near Bewdley and participants can chose from six, nine, 12, 18 or 26-mile routes around the Wyre Forest while youngsters can enjoy a three-mile treasure trail.

Sue Humphries from the Rock Pathfinders Walking Group, who is also one of the event organisers, said: “Walking is such a wonderfully sociably sport, and the benefits really speak for themselves – from the physical exercise, to a lovely way to spend time with family and friends.

“Everyone who has taken part in Walk4Life previously has a really enjoyable time and we’re encouraging even more people to sign up to this year’s walks and help raise much needed funds for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.”
