A TEENAGER is using her voice to brighten up the days of children at a Worcester hospice.
Laura Morris, a student at Worcester Sixth Form College, visited the children at Acorns Children's Hospice last year to sing a range of Disney songs.
Miss Morris, aged 16, said she "can't wait" to go back to the hospice in May this year and hopes to raise funds for the hospice along the way.
"I really enjoy performing arts and I love to sing. When I was younger I didn't have a voice at all, but as I got older I noticed my voice got much better and I really enjoyed singing," Miss Morris, who lives near Bredon, said.
"Last year I contacted Acorns to see if they would like me to come in and sing for the children. They said yes, so I went in dressed as Elsa from Frozen. It was really sweet to see their little faces light up and they seemed to enjoy it. I had an email from one of the nurses asking me if I would like to come back and do it again, and I jumped at the chance.
"I'm going back on May 26 dressed as Cinderella. I just want to make the children happy and entertain them for a while. Although I want to do many things, my dream now really is to perform at Disneyland Paris as a princess, but this is good experience for that."
