THE JellyPickleJam Vintage Tea Shop in Vine Mews, Evesham will host Evesham Knitters as part celebrations for Yarn Shop Day, 2015.

The band of local needlecrafters will run a knitting and crochet demo this Saturday May 2, between 10am and 3pm.

They will share and demonstrate patterns for the Age UK Big Knit smoothy bottle topper campaign.

This is to raise funds for the Spread the Warmth campaign, helping older people during the cold winter months.

Tea Shop owner, Lisa Whelan said: "Visitors will be able to learn knitting or crochet basics and pick up free patterns to join in the event.

“Knitting has become a growth craft again and many of our younger customers are taking up needles and learning how to knit or crochet for family and for fun. Evesham Knitters are a very talented, and often cheeky group of ladies who make many beautiful items, largely for charity."

She added: "The smoothy bottle toppers are a fun and quirky way to raise funds for Age UK.”
