NOMINATIONS are still open for an award recognising Worcestershire’s top apprentices and apprenticeship providers.

The Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards opened to nominations last month and closes at the end of May.

Executive director at the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, which is organising the awards along with Worcestershire County Council and Worcestershire Business Central, Gary Woodman said: “This year’s awards will once again recognise the excellence of Worcestershire’s apprentices and I would urge everyone to nominate an apprentice or an employer for these awards before 31 May 2015.”

“Over 10,000 people are currently participating in an apprenticeship scheme in the county and this is an opportunity to publically celebrate some of their successes.”

Award categories include Worcestershire Apprentice of the Year, School of the Year, Worcestershire Apprenticeship Employer of the Year and Training Provider of the Year.

The awards will be presented by BBC Breakfast host Steph McGovern at West Midland Safari Park in November.
