A RETAILING jobs boost has been created by the arrival of USC in Worcester.

Thirteen jobs have been generated by the launch of the new shop, which will open its doors to the public on Saturday (May 23) in Friary Walk.

The USC unit formerly housed SportsDirect.com.

USC, which calls itself the "ultimate House of Brands", aims to offer "trend focused customers a selection of the season’s premium branded denim, urban fashion, accessories and footwear."

A spokesman said: "The new 5,500 sq ft ‘brand store’ at Crowngate Shopping Centre will offer customers the ultimate shopping experience plus branded products that are exclusively available at USC.

“We're delighted to be opening our store in Worcester. This will allow us to showcase prestige products to customers across the region. We're really looking forward to welcoming customers to the USC experience.”

The new store will have dedicated departments featuring key Men and Women’s lifestyle brands such as: G-Star RAW, Lacoste, Levi’s, Replay, Weekend Offender, Pretty Green, Hilfiger Denim, Calvin Klein, Vans, Converse, Jack and Jones, Vero Moda, Police, Luke, Puma, Glamorous, AX Paris, Fabric, SoulCal, Soviet, Only & Nosiy May.

The company is continually investing in its impressive retail network – it now operates at around 70 strategically-located stores nationwide, including London’s Oxford Street Plaza, Manchester Trafford, Liverpool One.
