FIVE people, including a baby, were taken to hospital in Worcester following a three-car crash near Kidderminster yesterday.

The crash happened at Callow Hill just after noon, and three ambulances, plus a paramedic support officer in a rapid-response car, attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “A community first responder came across the collision and raised the alarm.

“A woman in her fifties was treated for neck pain. She was immobilised with the use of a neck collar and spinal board before being transferred to hospital.

“A family travelling in the second car involved were all conveyed to hospital. A female teenager was treated for pelvic pain and a male and female together with a baby received minor injuries.

“A women travelling in the third vehicle involved was assessed at the scene and later discharged. Those patients requiring further hospital treatment were taken by land ambulance to Worcester hospital.”
