STUDENTS and staff from Bishop Perowne climbed the height of Kilimanjaro and cycled the height of Everest to raise money for the Nepal Earthquake Disaster Appeal.
The college had a fundraising day for the families left homeless and terrified by the devastating earthquakes in Nepal.
There were three spin bikes and two step machines in the reception area of the school with staff and students keeping them constantly in use – with a donation of £1 at least, from everyone taking part.
Lorraine Stevens, the teacher who organised the event, said: "We felt it was really important to raise money for Nepal, especially as a former colleague has been teaching in Nepal for a few years now.
"Our students always rise to the challenge."
