CHILDREN from Bengeworth CE Academy were introduced to some of their headteacher's former colleagues.
Julie Bourdon-Pierre's ex workmates Christopher Green, Richard Morris, Laurie Lewin and Christine Emerson travelled to the school from different parts of the country to talk to the pupils about a project in a small village in Tanzania.
They are helping to build new classrooms for children, many of whom are orphans.
Bengeworth's events councillors – Lia Golding, Marshall Paige-Driver, Brooke Durband, Thea Andrews and Lyndsay Huntley – introduced themselves and arranged a busy agenda for their visitors.
They will be in charge of coming up with some fundraising ideas to raise money to help finish the classrooms and supply some resources for the children to use.
