The phenomenon that is Jersey Boys hit Bristol this week as part of its first nationwide tour, almost 20 million people around the world have seen the show since its premiere in 2006.

Covering the high's and low's the true story of four guys from New Jersey led by the legendary Frankie Valli with his unique voice and the marvellous music of  songwriter and keyboard player Bob Guadio the superb cast recreated the sound just as good as the boys did all those years ago truly standing the test of time, reaching out across several generations.

The boys on stage Tim Driesen (Frankie Valli), Sam Ferriday (Bob Gaudio), Lewis Griffiths (Nick Massi) and Stephen Webb (Tommy DeVito)  are highly accomplished artistes who are clearly at the top of their game - slick, svelte, smart along with Damian Buhagiar (Joe Pesci who became a Oscar winning actor). What a fabulous voice Tim Driesen has, his performance was simply outstanding he thoroughly deserved the rapturous applause he received over and over again.

The tunes may span back over the years, however, one thing is for sure no matter what your age is everyone knows the songs and tonight they included Big Girls Don't Cry, Sherry, Walk Like a Man, Let's Hang On (to What We've Got), Rag Doll, December 1963 (Oh What a Night), Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Fallen Angel and loads more...

This is the second time I have seen Jersey Boys the first being a few years ago in London, what is really great about that is the show is just as fresh, does not disappoint and never fails to leave you on a high - we left the auditorium like many of the audience humming the tunes as we went merrily on our way.

Enjoy a superb evening book your tickets now, runs until Saturday, 13th June at the Bristol Hippodrome.
